i dream of Japan ~ 'meeting' Giant a.k.a Doremon Nobita's enemy

a friend nicknamed me Giant not long ago. she even gave me Giant's key chain which i think i still have it somewhere in my treasure island wannabe room. so how did i met Giant? here is the picture story...

full course meal ^__^ super happy because i was very hungry! i already finished a cup of apple juice there :p

close up view of this green noodles.. i asked the pretty stewardess what was this green thing? "soba" she said. i asked her how to eat it? "you put the soup in " well i don't remember exactly what she said but she was referring to the small bottle with the red cap. and this another thin packet. (right behind the small bottle with the dark sauce down below)

next.. isn't it sweet?? aaa.... i would say that these two nice colored fruits are the nonidentical twins of the famous orange orange. they tastes the same but the color is different...aaaghhh sour!  hahhaha  ''( > __ < )''

uwaaaa!! rice! chicken curry curry curry!

that small bottle reminds me of the purple liquid bottle or the iodine used to treat wounds so classic one! (the bottle design)

can you read what is written in red? i had a taste of it and it cleared my nostrils in less than a second.. it feels like 'drinking' water using your nose and the water strikes deep into what ever open tube there is in our body from the nose opening going up and gives a headache! then after that wake up call i read the hiragana .. the first one not sure but it says something like 'neriWASABI'!!! that wasabi or the famous spicy sauce! i don't know what it is made of but it tastes like a mixed up of chillies and spices.. will do some research later.
the tasting ends there .. thankfully i didnt put it on the noodles or else it might ruin my first time of eating soba flight version. when i eat the soba it tastes and smell like the smells from the standing restaurant found in the subway.. after some google-ing it must be a standing soba-ya that can be found at a train station.. hummm well that explains the familiar smell... well not 'kempunan' now hihi

i think this chicken meat looks rotten to me but in the end... read to the end please ^__^

everyone can read what this is and it is suppose to be eaten with that round earthy color bun T_T

 mineral water!

and a little chocolatee to 'clean' up my teeth eheheh..

well the last picture concludes all.. weird taste or look it all taste soooooooo gooooooddd OWHH! i was hungry and alhamdulillah i was full and all is done except for the wasabi and the sauce in the small bottle and the butter.

THE END

So did i met Giant?
 yes i did.

it was me who became Giant during lunch ㅠ_ㅠ

i dream of Japan ~ Country Roads

i do dream.. and my dream aren't real.. but this time it is real.

on the last day in a small part of Japan, we stopped here to record the live version of a cover song 'Country Roads' by two lovely Japanese girls. the song sounds familiar when i  recorded this using my phone and later i realized this song used to 'play' in my head since primary school.. my sister likes to listen to this Rangkaian Biru Radio Station on weekends, this song really stick in my head specially this part of the song  "country road take me home... momma" i cannot catch up the English words that time so all i know was that "country road take me home country momma take me home"

Like the street singer in Bandung last time, the girls too sings their heart out in harmony ^__^ it was a great feeling.

Dreaming of Japan

saving all the money in the world had been a long one. finally by Allah's will my friends and i will be flying to Osaka tomorrow. packing was not that easy. last family trip to KL was only a sling bag and long lasting bodypack back pack then going to Bandung with friends all i bring was a slightly larger fancy fake harujuku girls sling bag which i bought in KL all for a 5 to 6 days trip. but for this trip  i pack a small trolley bag and a back pack both are about the same size and a sling bag which i think will be overload too. that drawing was my sketching by looking at pictures in the web.. it always hard for me to draw a prefect beautiful face or the perfect width or dimension for anything  .. well i did try my best. as in this time of writing.. i am still preparing for the train and bus route we will be taking.. wish me luck and pray that our trip will be ok and back home on Monday in peace and back to work the next afternoon and the day after that and the day after that and the day after that,,... dreams are my reality..

coffee ~ staying up late

"waa..if you drink coffee you can't sleep"
"no laa it doesn't works on me"
yep! she was right. i'm not sleepy at 1.11 a.m. past  midnight already.

ok. i think my body is reacting normally now. what did i do? or how come the coffee's caffeine effect me tonight?
so far as what i can think of this very late night is...

#1 i stop drinking 3 in 1 or anything n*sca** product for more than a year now!!! YES! THIS IS MY SECOND BIGGEST ACHIEVEMENT IN GETTING A MUCH BETTER HEALTH (only drink it when it is the only drink around. i didn't ask for more, and i don't crave for it anymore.Alhamdulillah. better health yes)

#2 i started to eat a spoonful of rice each meal for the past 10 days (  but i failed my second attempt today.. i eat 7 times more than i should)

ok last two days i drink a can of coffee drink at night.. I CANT SLEEP.. I WATCH kDRAMA TILL DAWN.. see tonight i realize that i am no more immune to caffeine now that my body works like it should. so good news i think i am doing a right job in getting myself healthier. and this drinking coffee at night is not good for me anymore. DRINKING TEA is ok for me without sugar too..

another good thing is since doing #1 my face feels smoother (well just quite good for someone who doesn't use a facial wash or make up, only spray with this good spraying product) pimples come out only when it should and nothing that looks like its going to be a super bomb.\

well, need to discipline myself more.. i just forgot today but not eating everything what is on my hand would be a waste.. i need to work harder on getting healthy.  someone i know quits rice for 14 years now and do looks healthy and energetic for 58 years old.

so dear me,
if i want to make it to an age that old, why not start at half that age and be happy tomorrow and the day after and the day after the day after and after and after and till long long time?

.. a day like this.

What?!? Taa kyoungchal i ya?!? Utkinee.aa.. ok fine its ok just go with it and see how it will ends. But that paksa-adeul is so the coolest one!!! But hey, bad guys do cry and what makes it look ‘jambu’ or gay is that he is an undercover police too! Like that Hong Kong movie that goes on bla bla, bla bla 1, bla bla 3 and so on.. funny funny funny and weak weak but I love the soundtrack and the fighting song for paksa-adeul. Well the dead kyong mi policewowan  was no less funnier than the other character and it was like ‘shi hyun oppa??’(?!?!??! like what?!?!? Duhhh!!!! She goes like the weakest duckling.
Jung Kyung Ho!!! I was like wait a minute who is this bad guy? He looks familiar and yes!!!! Jumping like joy he was in the mianhada saranghanda drama!!! The cute aegyo guy… and wow how he had transform in this new character ..ok he got this drama smile you and quite a success drama I heard. But this.. this is way too cool. I think he looks like Kim Jae Wook  (Antique). Nam gyu ri.. well she is not my lovable character in 49 days but I do sympathize her character in haeundae lovers; I decided to stop watching at episode 2. Well here in 무정도시 well her character is just starting to develop from the end of episode 4 to 5 but because of the sudden lights off .. I went to sleep at 3 a.m in the morning.

Waking up and ready for work today, the house has never been too busy in the morning like today. Bickering with my 9 years old niece, arguing on to let her wear the ‘pj’ attire or not, babu called my next door aunt to ask my eleven years old cousin what they wear if they have ‘pj’ in their schedule. Fuhh!!! What a day to start. And I didn’t have the little time I spent to have my daily remedy of lime and honey. I feel the mucus in my nostrils!
My father and I had a little talk on the way to the office today; talking about my idea of writing a book on our ancestors’. He doesn’t seem to like the idea… emm… he doesn’t even seem to like the idea of me driving my late brother-in-law’s (automatic) car too. I want to be strong for my sister’s sake. Hope he will change his mind and accept that I want to change for good.

Mashed Eggplant!

one of the easiest food to prepare.. i thought my mom was the only one cook like this but i saw American man from a cooking channel  made mashed eggplant and eat it with bread! well i was like WOW! we are not the only one. now i wonder how mashed eggplant recipe first came to my family? do our ancestors think the same as those from the west and those from the Mediterranean or perhaps they came here long ago and the locals learn how to make this mashed eggplant. or simply it was shown on tv. but as far as i remember my mother made this since i was little .. well i have to ask my mother later . well anyway here we go!

Step 1: after washing the eggplant put it on fire like this! or any way as long as it is on fire!
Step 2: it is done once all the purple turns black! Put it into the water and it will be easier to peel off the skin

when the skin is gone.. it will look like this  ..well looks can be deceiving ^_<

Step 3: using spoon or a knife mashed the eggplant and it will look like in the  picture shown. Add sugar, calamansi lime (one should be enough), thai chillies (2 or 3 or more if like spicy), tamarind paste (1 teaspoon or more) and a bit of water. mixed well and taste it. if the taste a bit off.. add chillies and a bit of salt or sugar. the taste should be like sour, sweet, spicy and burnt taste!
Step 4: Eat it! we eat it with rice.. other places in the world eats it with bread or..
anyway how do you eat it?

The End.

Beyond that 5 minutes

To jog for 5 minutes feels like forever. But I tell myself DON’T STOP just push myself and yes I feel the pain on my legs. I passed that 5 minutes and to complete the 10 minutes is a challenge. I feel like stopping again. Then again I just push myself and I feel like my legs are giving up and feeling both the pain and the mind… debating against each ‘others’ I passed that 10 minutes. Adding up another 10 minutes is between the strong and the weak.  But I did it! Now going to complete the 30 minutes?? Yes seems impossible, but hey! I am not running, I am jogging definitely not walking. I think one can differentiate between a walk and a jog. Then if one really feel the jogging or the working legs and muscles, after that 20 minutes one will find that he/she had found the rhythm. Jogging becomes like normal walking now. Finally one will finish that 30 minutes jog without problem and stopping will becomes natural back to walk. I push myself beyond the limit today, 35 minutes… but I feel hungry… but I am not sure if I can do it or not… but add another 5 minutes, a bit pressure on the  toes but I go on and add another extra 5 minutes, jogging rhythm ok toes not that much of pressure, normal still can go on.. but stomach growling.. ok 45 minutes stop! I did more than I expected today. It is actually easy, if one will only go beyond the limit and push oneself just a little bit more. Mind and body need to converse together and hear them both working and getting that 30 minutes of jogging will be a true success! Good luck!

Kid Story

When I was a Kid and Diary of a Wimpy Kid and Chibi Maruko Chan

which one first? i read diary of a wimpy kid and was surprised by the drawing in the book. ok so easy to read and funny too ~ cheese touch! went out with friends and went into a bookstore... i found full set of diary of a wimpy kid.. used my debit card and bought it. bring it home and it stays in the plastic bag for months..
took out the blue book recently and my 8 year old niece begging to read it but i gave her the red the first book i bought not worried for it to be handled in any way.. and told her to wait for the blue book because i'm not done reading it.. ok a month pass same excuse.. (got problem picking up undone things to continue doing the thing again)

then last year (like 30/12/12) .. waiting at the LCCT airport for our flight in the evening..again with friends.. i went for a walk and walk passed the shop with books out front and chocolates inside the shop.. my eyes was distracted with the simple but catchy title 'when i was a kid'... walk back and forth ..buying not buying... check my wallet..still have ringgits and a lot of rupiahs! dont want to change the rupiah yet.. went inside the shop  and found something even more interesting.. ok undecided again.. making rounds in the small space shop.. checking here and there.. check my wallet.. counting... enough and grab the chocolate with a special tin case and went to the cashier.. busy at the cashier.. few customer paying.. slip myself among them and grab the book from behind.. put back and choose another which look fine to me and went to the counter.. and paid. ok not that it is very expensive but i dont want to be questioned by my friend.. i could imagine how she will react if she see the price because i plan to read it on the plane.she might say "mahalnya!" for such a book. and so i took off the price sticker from the plastic that covers the book.
in the plane..we were like taking time to put our things into the overhead compartments.. ok we are not like those taller lovely ladies in red in the aircraft.. so sorry boy (a foreigner boy was already sitting) because our seats was on the middle and the one next to the window. the russian boy was in a very bad mood so like his mother on the other side...(i asked him when i got the chance.. do you speak english? yes. where are you from? Russia. (end of conversation) i think he got a new iphone5 and a new ipad.. my friend and i was like peeking what movie was he watching, because he put it on his lap but put the earphone on..so ..you know :p)
ok back to the book.. after talking about more than 30 minutes with my friend and i have nothing to talk about i took out the book and was about to unwrap the book, my friend ask. "berapa harganya?" "30 lebih" i straightly answered and at the same time unwrapping the plastic and in my head "knapala buka harga td.. jawab terus sja pun. apa jd dgn rancangan nda mau bagitau harga" but her reaction was ok so i think its ok laa.
i open the book and again.. i was surprise to see the contents.. in my head smiling" cam ni jak?"
my friend's reaction "macam ni pun bole buat buku?"
"a'ah kan??" and found that the writer is a Malaysian working in America.
but we read together a few pages and laughed a bit but truly i was in awestruck.. but i didnt finish 'reading' the book until today.. but i read the artist's online web page and more hilarious and funny sketches i read since my first day on my new job on monday 7/1/13.. i'm ok with that so that i can laugh and relax myself before work.. the office didnt filter that one out so i still can get the entertainment hahah..

chibi maruko chan head was connected to the thumb drive since somewhere ..i dont remember but i can say its more than 5years now.. it make it easy to find the thumb drive... since chibi is bigger than the thumb

ok clicking on the keyboard makes me happy la now :D i just got to 30 for a month but i am 31 now Islamic Calender.. alhamdulillah.. i think buying the books is to reminiscence how great it is to be a kid!

Bandung 60°

Ok thats the cover... best describe for our 5 days trip to Bandung.

Ok not  that it is hot hot. But hot in a sense it is the other kind of hot must go place :D ..
And as for the angle…we didn’t get to go to many places during our five days stay in Bandung. an adventure which most people may not experience.

The best part is meeting Bu Ela again.. it felt like going home to a relative's home :D

Through the dark cool after rain night in Bandung on our arrival... we got to ride on the angkot or the mini van up to Lembang.. sleepy not really tired... all the way on the journey.. Bu Ela jokingly said that our luggage will fill half the angkot on our way back home to Malaysia. (obviously right! ahhaha) i found out that Bu Ela's language is a bit different,, she is speaking Sundanese.. (oo now i know )

We had a late night supper... Kak Sam Hajah with her maggi specially brought from home.. then the famous amos cookies then the snacks Bu Ela gave us.. we feel asleep with the cool weather of Lembang.. which feels like Kundasang ^__^

The morning was a bit refreshing.. the Pondok Kehuripan, the hotel Bu Ela's husband is working; is a cool place with a very very nice view! we even took picture as if its for a tv coffee comercial
see the amateur model hahhaa
the view from the balcony.. i like how they make the stairs going down to our room on the other side

the tourist(kkekek) from left to right: kak aiza, our host Bu Ela, Mem a.k.a cigu Sairah (always my teacher ^_^) and Kak Sam Hajjah (alhamdulillah baru turun haji) and me the first picture on top ^0^

we had breakfast at warung nasi... local eating place.. masakan sunda..the owner is Bu Ela's student's mother.. we love it! we love the taste suits us best!

next we went to SD Pancasila, Bu Ela's school. but to go UP there (up like really going up the hill) was tricky hehehh.. easy for Bu Ela since its her place not for us the shreks junior and fiona its a bit fuhh.. we ride the angkot first.. too bad i didnt get to take picture of me sitting right close to the open door.. like you can fall anytime if youre not holding on anything. thankfully its only for less than 5 minutes.

a successful visit to the school. we got to meet the students practicing local dance and drama for a competition, teachers and the unexpected meeting with the school's headmaster!
that is the Peneropongan Bintang at the BOSSCHA Observatory Institut Teknologi Bandung 107° 37' BT 6° 49' LS. we went up to the place with ojek the motorcycle service hihihih

by 12 we had to leave ..need to check in to the hotel we booked. that is how we experience the macet or jammed.. it was raining heavily too. we got to our hotel somewhere among closely built buildings. its funny how they make the stairs so small and how magical it is that they can make up to 3 floors! our humble room enough for our luggage and sleep.. very bajet! we save pretty much for hotel rent. our aim is to hunt for the kain sulam!! the afternoon still raining.. we went through the streets and found our self at the back of Pasar Baru Trade Centre! on our way pass the fruit market someone says "Malaysia!" and when we went into the Pasar Baru the salesgirl... "Kakak! Kakak! Makcik! Makcik!" we had been detected! how are we going to buy things here?!? worried and felt that we had been busted .. the day ends with a bad feeling because we had to pay two times the normal fees for beca aka rickshaw.. hummm...

the next day with a new strategy we went to try out on our luck to conquer the Pasar Baru (ahahhaha)
that is only 10%  piece of cloth we bought (we spent half a million?!? in rupiah laa in the previous shop.. the next two days the boss who sold the fabrics to us was replaced by the brother .. we guess that he had have enough money from the deal we got) :p women and fashion .. lucky we were all ladies so shopping was FUN!!!
our favourite salesboy

what we came for :p
the busy street

our daily walk to Pasar Baru ^____^
the front gate of Unique Guesthouse, Jalan Ence Ajis. i laughed hard trying my best to bring up or pulling up things we bought to the second floor ..
the next day we went to move to another building because the first building was full and we were in shocked because the new room empty space was already filled with our luggage! we need a bigger room(actually we booked a bigger room but maybe miss communication).. well things settled and we got bigger room and we paid a little less than expected because we didnt use extra bed. i am very very satisfied for what we paid.

after we moved in to the new hotel room we went up to Lembang by angkot to experience kretek or the horse cart to Bu Ela's house.
street singer singing their heart out live!

The poor 'donkey' that had to carry 3 shreks and 2 fionas.. and a cool 'pussycat'
savouring hot sweet molen(with banana or black bean paste inside) while on kretek
the cool smoking cigarette uncle refused to eat the molen we offered which end up in my hand ^___^

finally arrived at Bu Ela's sweet home ^__________^ we had late lunch prepared by Bu Ela's daughter, Fitri

after Bu Ela's place we went to Toko 3, the only other place we went for shopping.

always smiling sweet Bu Ela ^_^

Kak Aiza and Bu Ela having a good time (kekekek)
each of us manage to grab  t-shirt on sale and it feels good wearing it. i really like the decorations in the shop. this is my favourite one..

isnt it cool? we thought it was someone but not!! ^__^

the second last day we went around the shop close to Pasar Baru.. it is even cheaper!!! (for some items)
and i met Bu Teti's daughter, cute like her mother ^__^

the last day at the airport we went by angkot with half of it filled with our luggage three times the amount we came with..
while queuing for drop baggage at the counter a group of Malaysian tourist was behind us and someone like perhaps their guide was like counting their bags and how many people altogether.. there were NINE people and EIGHT bags. Kak Aiza and I look at each other and laughed ..we were like FOUR people TIMES THREE for the bags... so do your own calculation.. (almost put us into trouble to pass the custom at LCCT, alhamduillah everything went well..)
spending a bit more on snacks and cakes at the airport .. (Bandung also famous for the bakery stuff.which we didnt get to explore..)

the weather was nice and we said good bye to Bu Ela and Bandung eventually....
MANGGA!
(mangga is a Sunda language we learn from Bu Ela which is used when leaving another person/friend to tend to other things)
