29.004 ~ Durian Runtuh!

I was thinking what photo am i going to put today and had decided to talk about the picture i took the day before yesterday. a self founding interesting story to tell. then at around 9p.m  my brother came home with ...
durian durian durian
DURIAN!!!!! waa he said it was cheap in Ranau and eat a few..good! good! good! see that is today's durian runtuh story or something like good things all come together suddenly.

the next best thing is the picture i took below. always have been amazed by the stars... always have to gaze at the stars and hurt my neck! but now i can take at least a visible white or blue or yellow dots in the sky at night and i got dots of stars that can match the good pictures of stars and can detect the constellation(?) or group of stars which had been given names long long long time ago by the arabs and the greeks.. and with this so call dslr camera i have i got the picture below..and able to identify these three ,..pleiadis (the seven sisters) a group of stars so bright in the sky! then the taurus a vee shape and orion (the hunter) the arrow shape and,,,the roof (that's my house)
the best part is one of the stars in the taurus group is ain(!! helloo!)or epsilon or the bull's eye..o ya! looking at the stars in the bigger picture it seems that the dots when combined with lines makes a bull's shape! that is what the astronomers long time ago had decided.. and another fun fact is when i was taking pictures and my father said one of the stars that shape like v is called the kritika. first time i hear it i think its weird what kind of name is that and in brunei? he said it was from long time ago the elders said that its a pointer to show which way is home for fishermen...then i went to find out more about taurus then found out about the arab moon and the hindu moon something but its more like about the same stars/constellations but the names are different (the arab and the hindu and of course the greek too)...and...tada!!! kritika is actually in the hindu moon that also represents the taurus! amazing! another evidence of how the hindu influence had been passed down to generations. another evidence of hindu influence here is the part where during wedding if the bridegroom arrives at the bride's house he need to walk in circles(they used a chair or anything to be the center of the circle) a few times. last but not least the inggu(?) which the locals said it can scare away the bad spirits and i think its uses was also influenced by the sailors who came to the big island of borneo a long, long time ago.

the stars!
